<p>On Dec. 30, 2021, the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) published a request for public comment on its strategic plan for research, development, and technology for fiscal years 2022-2026. The comment period has been extended from Jan. 31, 2022 to March 4, 2022. “We welcome the views of the transportation research community on the DOT’s research vision, strategic goals, and priorities, and how our research programs can advance the transportation system of the present and future,” said the DOT. “Please help us shape our research plans at this pivotal moment in the transformation of the nation’s transportation system.”</p>
