Joby Aviation has begun wind tunnel testing with one of its eVTOL aircraft propellers in the National Full-Scale Aerodynamic Complex at NASA's Ames Research Center in California.

Joby Aviation says it has notched another major milestone on the path to type certification for its five-seat eVTOL air taxi vehicle.

The FAA conducted an in-person, multi-day day audit of Joby’s eVTOL at the company’s facilities in Marina, California, to complete the second of four systems reviews required for its type certification program. 

The company and school will prepare the next generation of engineers and maintenance technicians for what Joby calls "the electric age of flight."
