<p>Following a recent trial program, Saudi Arabia has published controller-pilot data link communications (CPDLC) procedures, effective Oct. 2, 2025. Service will be available from FL290 and above in the OEJD/Jeddah FIR for FANS 1/A-equipped aircraft. According to business aviation information provider OpsGroup, “It’s still optional, to be used only for non-urgent messages, with voice comms required when time-critical.” Operators need to file the correct equipage in the flight plan. Log-on addresses remain OEJN for Jeddah ACC and OERK for Riyadh ACC. See GEN 3.4 for full details.</p>
