<p>New entry and exit rules take effect in the U.S. on December 26, requiring facial biometric collection for all non-U.S. citizens at both arrival and departure airports via airlines or private aircraft. While the regulation is final and applies to general aviation, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has not yet defined how biometric enforcement will be operationally implemented for general aviation flights, and no standardized procedures had been issued by mid-December. According to flight planning provider Universal Weather and Aviation, "Operators should prepare passengers and crew for potential facial-scanning requirements, while expecting variability by airport, FBO, and local CBP resources until additional guidance is released."</p>
